Pre-School Dance - (Ages 3-6) These classes explore both the creative and physical dimensions of each child as they gain awareness of music, rhythm, and movement.  Activities are designed to develop strength, coordination, creative thinking, and expression.  Through classroom activities, children refine motor skills and develop the creative process through the use of props and imagery.

Children’s Division- Levels 1 - 3 - (Ages 7-11) The begining of formal ballet study.  These levels follow the basic structure of a ballet class. Students begin to learn vocabulary for barre and center work. The fundamentals of placement are taught.

Intermediate/ Advanced - (Ages 11 and up) For students with previous ballet study.  Vocabulary is increased and understood and students acquire a greater understanding of placement and theory. Advanced students begin dancing “from the inside” and combinations are more complex. Greater emphasis is placed on the performance aspect. It is required that students participate in a minimum of 3 technique, 1 pilates, and 1 character class  per week.  Modern and Jazz are also recommended at this level.

Beginner Pointe – (Ages 11 and up with instructor approval) This class provides the fundamentals of pointe work. A thorough barre with exercises on and off pointe will help strengthen the feet and ankles. Students must take at least 3 ballet classes per week to begin pointe work.

Intermediate/ Advanced Pointe - The dancer will use greater strength and concentration in barre work. Center work is more demanding.

Recreational Divison 
   
Acrobats/ Tumbling  - (Ages 3 up). This class focuses on developing flexibility, balance, and strength.  The fundamentals of tumbling are introduced.  Children will learn basic skills such as cartwheels, backbends, and rolls.
  

Pilates -  Focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine.  In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.
